Space & New Space
Space, no application limits.
Space is the new “territory” of conquest that everyone wants to reach before anyone else.
Space projects involve the creation of satellites or constellations of satellites with a wide variety of purposes.
Land surface and weather control, spatial boundary monitoring, military and telecommunications applications. These are just some of the projects that have been implemented.
Manufacturing printed circuit boards for the Space industry requires:
- personnel with specific, sophisticated and widespread training in the company;
- processes and environments with extremely stringent requirements;
- dedicated machinery and production lines;
- test systems with state-of-the-art performance levels.
Our experience in the production of printed circuit boards for Space applications makes us an integral part of the European Space Community chaired by the European Space Agency (ESA) responsible for the relevant regulations in this area, the ECSS.
Cistelaier has been producing printed circuit boards for the space sector since many years. The printed circuit boards produced for ESA projects have been submitted to a 'specific qualification' procedure to be performed for each manufactured batch. We are working on achieving the 'general qualification', which will allow us to certify the products according to ESA's standard qualification procedure.
Cistelaier is the first and only Italian manufacturer qualified by ESA according to the ECSS-Q-ST-70-60C standards.
We have reached an important milestone in the European aerospace industry by obtaining ESA qualification for the production of sequential rigid PCBs and rigid-flex PCBs in polyimide material, intended for flight applications in the Space sector.
Achieving this result demonstrates our commitment to high quality and innovation, and confirms our ability to produce advanced technological solutions that meet the needs of the Space sector.
This achievement positions Cistelaier as a key player in the European Space Community.
Being qualified by the ESA according to the ECSS is a preferred way to manufacture printed circuit boards for private initiatives as well as other high-tech industries.
